Japanese CDs

Early Japanese CD pressings are often sought after by collectors, who are attracted by the almost certain guarantee of good sound quality and exceptional, by 1980s standards, packaging

There are two key early Japanese Abba CD series: those issued by the group’s original Japanese licencee Discomate in 1983 and 1984 and the P33P series issued by Polydor in 1986.

The Discomate CDs are now particularly rare but the superior P33P series are still quite plentiful as they remained in print into the early 1990s.
